Do you have your own flex fuel setup or utilize a custom setup with your own lines and/or bracket? We offer just the electronics of our flex fuel offering so you can easily connect your ethanol composition sensor to your Ecutek-equipped R35 GTR.
Our CAN-enabled ethanol conversion analyzer takes up just a small amount of real estate in your GTR’s battery box. Just plug the TRP harness’s DTM-8 connector into the CAN-enabled ECA conversion box, the next connector into the secondary air pump connector to the side of your battery, a jumper harness inside your IPDM, and the last connector into your flex fuel sensor.
ATTENTION TUNERS:
Our CAN bus box outputs a signal to the GTR’s CAN bus with the following specs:
CAN Bus ID Standard (11 bit)
CAN Bus ID (HEX) 0x00EC
CAN Bus Update Rate 250 ms (4 Hz)
CAN Bus Speed 500 Kbps
CAN DATA:
Data 0: E % = 8 bit
Data 1: Fuel Temperature (C) = 8 bit – 40
Data 7: FF Sensor Status
0x00 Sensor OK
0x01 Sensor fault
Default values for ethanol on sensor failure: 100% (CAN Data0: 100)
Default values for temperature on sensor failure: -40C (CAN Data1: 0)
When tuning with Ecutek, you can select the default settings for use with a Zeitronix box for quick functionality as we use the same protocol to create a universal experience.
Not all wiring is created equally. We use TXL wire featuring XLPE insulation that is heat, flame, gasoline, grease, and acid resistant and is used in extreme temperature applications of -40°F to 257°F!
