The Total Racing Products Stock Throttle Body Extension Harnesses – R35 GTR are designed to provide a clean, reliable solution when the factory electronic throttle bodies must be repositioned on a VR38 engine. Many aftermarket intake manifolds and turbo systems require the throttle bodies to be flipped, rotated, and moved forward, which often leaves the OEM wiring harness too short to reach.

These extension harnesses solve that problem by extending the factory throttle body wiring while maintaining full plug-and-play compatibility with the OEM harness and throttle motors. Installation requires no cutting, splicing, or permanent modification to your factory wiring, allowing your setup to remain completely reversible.

Each harness is constructed using automotive-grade TXL wire and high quality OEM-style connectors to ensure long term durability in demanding engine bay conditions. Designed specifically for the VR38 platform, these harnesses maintain proper signal integrity for the electronic throttle system while giving builders the flexibility required for high performance intake and turbo configurations.

Important Installation Orientation

These harnesses are specifically wired for applications where the stock throttle bodies are transposed side to side and rotated 180 degrees. In this configuration, the throttle motor bulges face downward and the throttle body covers face toward the intercooler.

This orientation is commonly required when installing certain aftermarket intake manifolds because it allows the throttle motors to properly clear the hood and surrounding engine components. Because the throttle bodies are swapped and rotated, the factory wiring harness will not reach without extension harnesses designed for this layout.

Tested Compatibility

These harnesses have been tested on several of the most common aftermarket intake manifolds including MAD Sweden, AMS Performance / Alpha, and Boost Logic intake manifolds. Based on the design of these manifolds and the required throttle body orientation, these harnesses should function properly with all aftermarket VR38 intake manifolds that require flipped throttle bodies.

Not all wiring is created equally. We use TXL wire featuring XLPE insulation that is heat, flame, gasoline, grease, and acid resistant and designed for extreme temperature environments ranging from -40°F to 257°F.
